Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Powell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: John Earl was a fine man, he used to bring me vegetables when I lived on the James Branch Rd. I would can them in jars for him. He even brought me some fresh cream one time and I made butter for him. I always had gardening interest with him and Daniel Sims. Both of these men were good men. I always bought my purple hull peas from Mr. Sims. I want to offer my condolences to his family. I know you all will miss him. I will lift you up in prayer for I know you will be grieving over the loss of John Earl.
