Graveside services with full military honors for Mr. John Earl Powell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Coleman Cemetery, Dry Prong, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.

Mr. Powell, age 86, of Dry Prong, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the VA Medical Center, Pineville, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Carrie Rice Powell; brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Quida Powell of Dry Prong; one son, Robert Powell (Debbie) of Dry Prong; three daughters, Cynthia Roberts (Jay) of Dry Prong, Alisha Ingles (Scott) of Dry Prong and Angela Bruce (Rick) of Dry Prong; grandchildren, Ryan Ingles, Adam Zell, Jarod Ingles, Jonathan Zell, Caleb Powell, Jacob Powell, Matthew Carlin and Mandy Roberts; numerous great-grandchildren.
