Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Ann Peal will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Chaplain Jeff White officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs.Peal, age 81, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest peacefully on Sunday , May 8, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Peal was raised on a working farm in Tioga, West Virginia. After graduating from Richmond High she moved to Charleston, West Virginia where she met her husband of 57 years, Hugh A. Peal.

Thelma was an Alexandria business woman, owning and then co-owning The Book Inn for 37 years, with her sister in law, Muriel Coen.

She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star for 43 years and Beta Sigma Phi of 50 years.

Mrs.Peal is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lucinda Curry of Tioga, West Virginia and one grandson Joshua Raffray.

She is survived her husband of 57 years, Hugh A. Peal; one son, Jeff L. Peal; two daughters, Melinda P. Bishop and Tracy P. Raffray; six grandchildren, Lori P. Prince, Leslie P. Slappy, Justin T. Raffray, Jessie N. Raffray, Jensen Raffray and Claire E. Bishop; six great- grandchildren.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 1:00p.m. until time of service.
