Funeral services for Mr. Raymond J. Tassin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Father Bruce Miller officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Tassin, age 66, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Houston, Texas.

He was a shift supervisor at CLECO for 35 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Pineville, Louisiana. He was an avid outdoorsman, and a member of Camel Creek Hunting Club for over 30 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1951 from 2000-2009. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Nita Tassin of Pineville; one son, Paul Tassin (Shannon) of Pineville; one daughter, June Rao (Joey) of Pineville; one sister, Linda Tate (Rogers) of Vidrine; one brother, Jay Tassin (Marcia) of Arizona; six grandchildren, Amber Cook, Garrett Brown, Megan Tassin, Morgan Tassin, Natalie Guillory and Matthew Guillory; two great grandchildren, Cheyenne Cook and Dakota Cook.

A Rosary will be recited in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9: 00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate consideration of becoming an organ donor.
