Mary Annelle  Bourg
Mary Annelle Bourg, 57, of Alexandria, Louisiana, passed away January 5, 2016, at Rapides Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Alexandria, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., in the church, followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. Father James Ferguson will officiate with burial immediately following at Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA.

Mary was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and was very active with Our Lady of Prompt Succor Outreach Program. She was also a dedicated volunteer at Radio Maria and Manna House. Mary was an extremely devout catholic and she made it her life’s mission to put ALL ahead of herself; including her selfless acts of visiting nursing homes and hospitals as well as praying daily for others.

Mary was loved by many and will be missed by all her friends.

Mary attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor and graduated from Holy Savior Menard in 1976. She began working at the Alexandria Daily Town Talk until she became her mother’s permanent caregiver.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Bordelon Bourg, her father, Ivan B. Bourg, her sister, Lois Bourg Buller and nephew, Thomas Buller.

She is survived by two nieces, Roxanne Buller of Baton Rouge and Danette Buller Dobbins and her husband, Matthew of Slidell, and their daughters, Kathryn and Sarah.

Memorials may be sent for masses for Mary to St. Francis Xavier Cathedral or Our Lady of Prompt Succor. Donations may also be made to Radio Maria in honor of Mary Bourg.
