Life Story for Carl W. Schahn Jr.
Mr. Carl W. Schahn, Jr., age 87, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Schahn was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He dedicated many years of work to grocery stores. Mr. Schahn worked for a combined forty years at Kroger in Beaumont, Texas and in Alexandria, Louisiana. He then managed his own store, Peter Pan Grocery in Wardville, for many years.
Mr. Schahn is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Schahn, Sr. and Elizabeth McDonald Schahn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Bernice Polk Schahn; son, Carl W. Schahn (Shirley) of Pineville, daughter, Brenda Schahn Alleman (Rick) of Spring, Texas; sister, Mable O’Neal of Salado, Texas; grandchildren, Christie Husband (Matt), Rick Alleman, Jr. (Lauren), William Schahn (Lindsay), and Arin Matherne (Donald); Daughter-n-law, Nancy Jarzyna (Ed); and 4 great grandchildren.
