Funeral services for Zerna Mae O’Mealey will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana, with Brother Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. O’Mealey, age 95 of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Rapides Regional in Alexandria, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Zerna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a longtime and faithful member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, where she had a heart to serve others. Mrs Zerna also had two cats that she loved dearly, ZZ and Shoestring.

Zerna O’Mealey is preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. O’Mealey; her brother; Linden Borders.

Mrs. O’Mealey is survived by her son, Joe Michael O’Mealey (Donna) of Pineville; her nephew, Lonnie Borders of Oklahoma; her grandchildren, John Daniel Harrison of Pineville and Jannai Krumrey of Pineville; great grandchildren, Kalista Johnson of Pineville and Daniel Ryder of Pineville.

Friends may visit at Gallagher Funeral Home on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Joe O'Mealey, Lonnie Borders, Jon Harrison and members of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

The O’Mealey family would like to thank her dear friends Robert Smith, Jonelle Fowler, and Mary Piercy for their love of Mrs. Zerna.
