Funeral services for Mrs. Janice E. Staton will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Pastor Jane Conerly officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home of Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Staton, age 72, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana.

Janice was a beautician and worked as an associate at J.C. Penney’s for many years. She was a very active member of Woodland Presbyterian Church, Pineville, Louisiana, serving in several capacities including Sunday school teacher. She was the first lady of her husband who served as the District Governor of the Lions Club for the State of Louisiana.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Wayne Staton of Pineville; daughter, Catherine Anne Staton Catt of Pineville; brother, Gary Elam (Barbara) of Tennessee; two granddaughters, Akira Lynn Catt and Karra Celeste Catt.

Friends may visit on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
