Funeral services for Mr. Maxie Van Herring will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel, Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Bob Boyt officiating. Interment will be at Campground Cemetery, Hinston, La. under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Herring was born September 25, 1934 and entered eternal rest on Oct. 30, 2015 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, La. He served in the US Navy and owned and operated M&M Amusement Company for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Ester Herring and a granddaughter Anna Nicole Lambert.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years Maureen Herring of Alexandria, one son Stephen Herring of Alexandria, three daughters Sheryl Lambert (Archie) of Alexandria, Karen Courtney of Alexandria, and Candace Harleaux of Zachary, one brother Jack Herring of Summerville, Ga.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.
