Obituary for Stacey Lachney
Stacey Nicole Lachney, 41, was born on January 19, 1973 in Alexandria, Louisiana and went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 18, 2015, the eve of her birthday. Arrangements are entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Stacey graduated from Bolton High School with the Class of 1990. She was employed at Rapides General Hospital for many years as the unit secretary on floor 7A and just moved positions not too long ago to the purchasing department. She truly enjoyed her work family and thought of many co-workers as close friends. Stacey also enjoyed her second job as a salesperson at Bath and Body Works.
Anyone and everyone who knew Stacey could tell you that she would light up the room with her infectious smile, and her positive outlook on life. She was known for not only having a huge heart, a beautiful personality, but a loving soul as well.
Stacey is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mamie Hinton Starnes and Jim and Delda Sawyer.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Chelsee Nicole Martin, a grandson, , Treyce Michael King, her parents, Scott and Norma Sawyer, one sibling, Logan Wade Kennedy (Kadie), and a nephew, Cale Thomas Kennedy. Her aunts and uncles, Sue Whitehurst (David), Sandy Hicks, (Terry), Mike Starnes (Becky), and a host of cousins, all whom she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed by her best friends and adopted sisters, Kandace Britt, Cassondria Brown and Kim Lacour-Jones.
A memorial service celebrating Stacey’s life will be announced at a later date.
