Edward Wayne  Hickey
Funeral services for Edward Wayne Hickey will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Deville, Louisiana with Dr. Phillip Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, Deville, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Hickey, age 82, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Hickey served his country with honor in the U.S. Army. He was a loving father, and grandfather. He was a long-time member, Deacon and dedicated Christian of Philadelphia Baptist Church. He loved and spoiled his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor and was an avid sportsman who loved duck hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his son, Wayne Hickey (Sandy) of Pineville; daughter, Rhonda Hickey of Pineville; two sisters, Wilma Hailey of Weatherford, Texas and Carol Butts (Jim) of Ft. Worth, Texas; five grandchildren, Heather Fox (Lance) of Prairieville, Tiffini Jones (Chance) of Dry Prong, Toni Hickey of Lake Charles, Taylor Lewing of Hineston and Matthew Hickey of Pineville; three great grandchildren, Logan Edward Fox, Emmalynn Jones and Karlee Jones.

The family would like to give a special thanks to their long-time friend and nurse, Anita Hathorne, Acadian Ambulance, Officer Christopher Fairchild of the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, special friend of the family, Sara Neuhaus and Brenda Dunn and son Gene Dunn.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Deville, Louisiana 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 29 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Alzheimers-Dementia Support Group, c/o Care Network at 4011 Jackson St., Alexandria, LA 71303.
