Obituary for Mary Ann Bennett (Wiseman)
Memorial services for Mrs. Mary Ann Wiseman Bennett will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Ed Cooper officiating. A graveside service will be held in Greenville, MS at a later date, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. Bennett, age 69, of Ball, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary Ann retired as an educator in Rapides and Grant parishes after over 30 years. She taught multiple generations of children and loved affecting young minds. In return, all the children she taught loved her very much. Mary Ann loved family holidays and being surrounded by her grandchildren. She was an avid storyteller and always had an allegory tale for the ready listener.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Benedict and Mary Lois Wiseman; brother, James Benedict Wiseman, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 46 years, Robert Dale Bennett; her children, Robert Dale Bennett, Jr. (Lindsay) and Kristina Marie McCrea (Jeremy); eight grandchildren, Alexa Marie Bennett, Dalton James Scroggs, Robert Andrew Bennett, Caitlin Breanna Bennett, Gracie Ann McCrea, Robert Tristan Bennett, Lily Marie McCrea and Cameron Hunter McCrea.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Mary Ann to the Alzheimer’s Association.
