Obituary for Drew Malone
Funeral services for Mr. Drew Malone will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with the Reverends John Hebert and Ron Nation officiating. Interment will be in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery, Pineville, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home of Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Malone, age 90, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Hilltop Nursing Home, Pineville, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 5, 1926 in Bentley, Louisiana to Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Malone. Drew was a World War II Veteran who loved hunting, cooking, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He always had an old story to tell, a recipe to share, or canning tip to give.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Warrick Malone; one daughter, Cynthia Despino; parents, Ellis and Armer Malone; two sisters, Ethel Smith and Eunice Evans.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, David and Daniel Malone; two daughters, Linda Dryden and Tammy Malone; three sisters, Earlene Nuefnor, Bobbie Broussard and Beatrice Collins; two brothers, Ellis Malone, Jr. and Chester Malone; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
