Charles "Don"  Prather
Funeral services for Mr. Charles “Don” Prather will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Liberty Christian Church, Aloha, Louisiana with the Reverend Robert Davidson officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Prather, age 84, of Montgomery, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mr. Prather served as S/Sgt. in the United States Army where he served his country in the Korean Conflict. He was the Nascar West Coast National Champion in 1964. He was a “Great” “Great” dad, loving husband, brother and grandfather. He loved hunting and fishing, most of all he loved to travel and show his kids the world.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Flora Prather; two brothers, Elzie and Bill Prather.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lorraine Mack Prather of Montgomery; one son, Ron Prather (Sherry) of California; one daughter, Marilyn Lavespere (Lyn) of Verda; two brothers, Paul Prather of Montgomery and Jerry Prather (Darlene) of California; two sisters, Mary “Inez” Stewart of California and Peggy Freeman (Gabby) of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Ron Lyn Prather of Texas, Deana Hagar of St. Louis and Burt Lavespere of Verda; five great grandchildren, Caylie, Hannah, Ethan and Isabella Prather of California, MacKenzie Hagar of St. Louis; one great-great grandson, Zephaniah Prather of California; also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Friends may call on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Liberty Christian Church, Aloha, Louisiana from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
