Life Story for Mervin Dale Ferguson
Funeral services for Mr. Mervin D. Ferguson will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Pineville Christian Church, 2000 Military Hwy., Pineville, Louisiana 71360 with the Reverends Jason Huffman and Bart Walker officiating. Interment with will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Ferguson, age 70, of Ball, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at his residence.
He was a member of Kingsville Baptist Church, Ball, Louisiana. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mervin was a supervisor for the Office of Community Services, Louisiana. He loved baseball, playing and coaching his sons and grandsons. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death his parents, L.O. and Janette Ferguson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan Newsom Ferguson of Ball; two sons, Reid Ferguson of Ball and Eric Patton Ferguson, Sr. (Janine) of Pineville; two sisters, Darlene Firment (Mike) of Ball and Jennifer Robinette of Pollock; four grandchildren, Braeden Ferguson, Bryli Ferguson, Eric Patton Ferguson, Jr. and Danielle White (Chad).
Friends may call on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Pineville Christian Church, Pineville, Louisiana 71360, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
