Life Story for Richard Anthony Tison

Funeral services for Mr. Richard A. Tison, 86, of Alexandria, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Pentecostal’s of Alexandria, with Reverend Anthony Mangun officiating. Visitation for Mr. Tison will be on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the G. A. Mangun Center from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Tison entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Tison was a member of the Pentecostals of Alexandria. He was a former employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, The Atomic Energy Commission, Nuclear Fuel Division, Rapides Bank and Trust Company. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association, American Legion and retired from the United States Air Force after serving over twenty years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Delphine Couvillion Tison, a brother, Ellington Tison and a sister, Ereline Tison.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie Rogers Tison of Alexandria, La; a son, Rick Tison (Karen) of Woodworth, La; two daughters, Peggy Kirkby (Tim) of Key Largo, Fl. and Karen Hills (William) of Myrtle Beach, SC.; eight grandchildren, Ashley Carruth Fowler (Billy), Houston Hampton, Meagan Tison McLaughlin (Ben), Blake Tison (Rachel), Kristin Kirkby Shaw (Aaron), Timothy Kirkby (Samantha), Heath Hampton, Beckett Hills (Ellie) eleven great-grandchildren, Abigail, Payton, Hannah, William, Wyatt, Katherine, Charlotte, Eleanor Fowler, Violet Rose McLaughlin, Kyle Kirkby and Maggie Hills; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will by Blake Tison, Houston Hampton, Billy Fowler, Ben McLaughlin, Chris Maxwell, Lance Maxwell and Nikkie Clifton.
