Obituary for Byron David Grimes

Memorial services celebrating the life of Byron D. Grimes will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 2627 Horseshoe Dr., Alexandria, LA 71301 with Father Rich Snow officiating. Inurnment will be in the Columbarium at the Church, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Byron D. Grimes, Master Licensed Massage Therapist Certified for 15 years graduated from Northwestern State University with a BS in Nursing. He had a true passion for his profession and truly cared for the well-being of his clients.
Byron loved reading, music, going to concerts and playing on his many guitars, which he called his children. He was a wonderful musician with a talent sent from God.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frances Edwards and Rivers Wilson, Sr., step-grandfather, Clyde “Pete” Singley, and his paternal grandparents, Hassie Berry and Bert Grimes.
He is survived by his mother and father, Margaret Wilson and Frank “Pat” Grimes, Sr.; brother, Frank P. Grimes, Jr. (Patty) of Alexandria; sister, Renae Grimes-Avery (Jim) of Springfield, Missouri; nephews, Daniel Grimes of Springfield, Missiouri, Heath (Amy), Perry Grimes, Reeves Scroggs of Alexandria and Liam Revilla; nieces, Heather Revilla (Daniel), and Sophia Revilla of Miami, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Byron will be sadly missed by family, friends, and all who knew him. Rest in peace, my son.
