Memorial services for Mr. Dilward Adam Dupree will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Father Steve Brandow officiating. Visitation for Mr. Dupree will be from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Private family burial will follow at St. John Catholic Church Cemetery, Deville, La. under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Dupree, age 77, of Deville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Oakhaven Nursing Home in Centerpoint, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.


Dilward was raised in Ruby until he married in 1960. After marrying Charlotte Desotell, they moved to Alexandria, where they resided until 1977. A move to Alexandria was followed by a relocation to Pineville and retiring in Deville in 2000. Mr. Dupree retired from International Paper Company after 32 years. He was Catholic, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his family, Mr.Dupree loved to fox and rabbit hunt.

Mr. Dupree was preceded in death by his parents, Alvis and Georgie Dupree and a brother, Derland Dupree.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Charlotte Desotell Dupree of Deville, La; a son, Keith Dupree (Bonita); three daughters, Vicki Belgard, Dawn Deville (Jody) and Nekole Shuler (Michael); two brothers, Derrell Dupree (Gail) and Don L Dupree (Diane); one sister, Erminie Filippi (Julius); nine grandchildren, Brandon Belgard, Seth Belgard, Collette Lockwood, Kelsie Beckham, Krey Dupree, Kinley Deville, Zachary Deville, Brittney Shuler and Karli Shuler and five great Grandchildren.
