Condolence: Vicki,
All my patients are special but as you know Mr Randy held a very very special place in my heart. No way I could have prepared myself for what it would be like losing Mr Randy, but I can tell you he has been the hardest hospice patient of mine to see go. Like losing a very close family member or my grandpa. Mr Randy was a very very special man, had a way to make others smile and brighten their day, even mine when I was on my last leg for the day! I will miss his smile, his jokes, and his company as we bird and squirrel watched. I will treasure the things he taught me, and mostly it was about life. He took in the small pleasure of life, and I have taken on a new hobby of bird watching and it could not be more peaceful with my morning coffee. I have a new red Cardinal friend (birds when angels are near) I call him Randy.. I will never forget Mr Randy as long as I'm alive. I had the honor to be his personal nurse and to God I am so thankful. You were an amazing caregiver, helpmate, wife he could ask for and were there with compassion day in and out until the very end. I love you Ms Vicky, my prayers are with you and your family during this time. My phone is always open. Love you all.
