Obituary for Doris "Mammy" Sasser (Lachney)
Funeral services for Mrs. Doris L. Sasser will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Dustin Cameron officiating. Interment will be in Libuse Czech Cemetery, Libuse, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. Sasser, age 72, of Libuse, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her residence.
Doris Elaine “Mammy” Sasser was a pharmacy tech for K-Mart for 22 years and a longtime resident of Libuse. She was a graduate of Buckeye “Class of 61” and a lifetime member of The Libuse Czech Lodge. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She is preceded in death by her parents C.J. and Agnes Lachney of Libuse; husband, Kenneth H. Sasser of Libuse; one brother, Jack David Lachney of Libuse; one sister, Betty Jean Baker of Libuse.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Robert “Rob” Sasser and wife Vana of Dubach; one daughter, Kenya Sasser of Libuse; six grandchildren, Kendra, Keri, Tristan and fiance’ Jason, Michael, Justin, and her faithful and loving dog, Penny.
Pallbearers will be Kendra Northover, Tristan Sasser, Rob Sasser, Kevin Sasser, Jason Hatten, and Jerry Scott Crooks.
Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
