Funeral services for Mrs. Juberta O. Maxwell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Pollock, Louisiana with the Reverends Sammy Morrow, Jerry Fleming and Kevin Simmons officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pollock, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Maxwell, age 80, of Pollock, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at her residence.

She was a charter member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Pollock, Louisiana, where she worked in the church kitchen for over 25 years. She worked side by side with her husband running a convenience store and a hardware store. She also worked at Central State Hospital as a psychiatric aid, but above all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Ramona Orjias; one grandson, Cullen Coody; one sister, Ramona Turner.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, J.D. Maxwell of Pollock; four sons, Dennis Maxwell (Linda) of Pineville, Doyle Maxwell (Katie) of New Roads, Hank Maxwell of Pineville and Steve Maxwell of Ft. Myers, Florida; two daughters, Patricia Norris (Gerald) of Pollock and Mona Shank (Jerry) of Pollock; two brothers, Ted Orjias of Tallulah and Arthur Orjias (Terry) of Colorado; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Pollock, Louisiana from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Still Waters Hospice, Alexandria, Louisiana for their loving care and compassion.
