Funeral services for Ms. Phyllis Valerie Smith Murray will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Rev. Jerry Crise officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Ms. Murray, age 55, of Ball, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Grace Home, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Ms. Murray enjoyed camping, cross stitching, reading, traveling and so much more. Once she found her prince charming, the sky was the limit for her. She was an amazing mother, sister, grandmother, fiancé and friend to those who knew her.

She was the most caring, loving, giving and generous person. She never had a bad word to say to or about anyone. She was a good Christian and gave an effort to everything with her whole heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Marie Smith.

She is survived by the love of her life, Jimmy Hicks of Alexandria; one son, Cody Murray (Sara); one daughter, Stephanie Keehnen (Josh); two step-sons, J.D. Hicks and Jamie Guillot; one step-daughter, Amber Hicks; one brother, Philip Smith (Ginny); four sisters, Gloria White (Danny), Sissy Self (Gary), Carol Parsons (Jim) and Gretchen McKee (Mark); two grandsons, Ryan Murray and Jaxson Keehnen; eight step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
