Obituary for Roy C Lasyone Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Roy C. Lasyone, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Rev. Bob Boyt officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors in Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Lasyone, age 92, of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Tioga Manor Nursing Home, Pineville, Louisiana.
Mr. Lasyone proudly served his country in United States Army in WWII; retiring after 20 + years of service. He received the (3) Good Conduct Medals and (2) Letters of Commendation and Sharpshooter Rifle M-14. He also retired from Central State Hospital after 20 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Mae Lasyone; son, Dwain Lasyone; one brother, Archie Lasyone; two sisters, Louise Middleton and Maebelle Lasyone; granddaughter, Tanisha Roberts.
He is survived by one son, Roy C. Lasyone, Jr. of Dayton, Texas; one daughter, Darlene Johnson of Pineville; two sisters, Hattie Johnston of Baton Rouge and Ruby Nick of Huntsville, Texas; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; also survived by host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
