Funeral services for Mrs. Nadine L. Holmes will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Rev. Jimmy Koonce officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Holmes, age 88, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Holmes worked for K-Mart in the Women’s Dept. for 12 years. She was a member of Homewood Baptist Church, Alexandria, La. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Amos, Sr. and Bertie Tramel; one son, Phil Blackwell; one brother, Amos Fisher Tramel, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Edward Holmes of Alexandria; one daughter, Patricia Fontenot (James) of Ville Platte; one sister, Betty Lehr of Many; two grandchildren, Michael Fontenot (Claire) of Tampa, Florida and Tammy Belgard (Lane) of Deville; three great grandchildren, Ashlee Belgard and Kellee Belgard of Deville and Christian Fontenot of Tampa, Florida.

Pallbearers will be Gary Lehr, Dean Lehr, Jeff Tramel, Todd Tramel, Earl Dugger and Lane Belgard; honorary pallbearers, Brad Tramel and Michael Fontenot.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
