Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy A. Hughes will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 New Life Pentecostal Church, Manifest, Louisiana with the Reverends David Poole and Todd Tucker officiating. Interment will be in Heard Cemetery, Manifest, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Hughes, age 82, of Harrisonburg, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking, working in her garden and caring for her family. She was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church, Manifest, Louisiana, where she loved attending church, her Pastor and above all else her God.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George L. Hughes; parents, Felton and Maelee Parker; one daughter, Martha Hughes; brothers, Kenneth Parker, Lloyd Parker, J.C. Parker and Donald Parker; son-in-law, Lavelle Langley.

She is survived by five daughters, Barbara Langley of Harrisonburg, Norma Boothe (Michael) of Humble, Texas, Georgia Nichols (Dennis) of Jonesville, Brenda Torrey (Donny) of Enterprise and Sheryl Black (Darrell) of Jena; three sisters, Carol Robertson (Hardy) of Jonesville, Mary Ernestine Mason of Harrisonburg and Joyce Patton (Wayne) of Franklinton; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.

Friends may call at New Life Pentecostal Church, Manifest, Louisiana on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
