Obituary for Lloyd Ray Crooks

Funeral services for Mr. Lloyd Ray Crooks will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA with Dr. Kenny Moore officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Effie, LA, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA.

Mr. Crooks, age 68, of Pineville, LA entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Grace Home in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA.

Mr. Crooks was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, dock foreman for Red Ball Motor Freight and worked in the mobile home business as well.

He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd E. Crooks.

He is survived by his mother, Velma Reynolds Crooks; wife Reba Turley Crooks; two sons, Damon Ray Crooks (Sidney) and Kevin Randall Crooks; one brother, James V. Crooks (JoAnne); and five grandchildren, Cody, Melanie, Eric, Caroline and Eleanor Crooks.

Pallbearers for the service will be Royce Reynolds, Royce McNeal, Don Reynolds, Trent Luneau, Vincent Crooks and Russell Watson.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, June 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.

The Crooks family would like to give a warm thank you to the gifted and compassionate caretakers at Grace Home and Stillwater Hospice. Also, a heartfelt appreciation to friends and family for their support at this time.
