Memorial services for Mr. Jimmie Ray Johnson will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Johnson, age 76, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La.

Mr. Johnson was born in Alexandria, LA and was raised in Poland, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. After serving in the USMC, Mr. Johnson travelled the world as a boilermaker/pipefitter. Mr. Johnson was a loving husband, father, brother and will be dearly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Williard and Rose Johnson and his loving wife, Diane Lachney Johnson.

Mr. Johnson is survived by one son, Stephen Johnson (Elizabeth) of Brandon, MS; three step-children, Gary Davis (Kathy) of Pineville, Gail Evans of Alexandria and Audrey Sartin of Dry Prong, LA; two brothers, Willard “Sonny-boy” Johnson, Jr. (Sue) of Houston, TX, Clarence “Red” Ryland (Betty-Sue) of Poland, LA; two sisters, Evelyn “Mickey” Drews of Madison,WI and Virginia “Ginger” Hicks of Poland, La.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) 2100 Crystal Drive, Arlington, Va. 22202
