Funeral services for Mrs. Penny C. Stewart will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA with Pastor Terry Horowitz and Bro. Milton Henderson of Paradise Baptist Church, Ball, LA officiating and music by Rita Cooley. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, LA under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA.

Mrs. Stewart, age 87, of Ball, LA, entered eternal rest on May 9, 2015 at Woods Haven Senior Citizens Home, Pollock, LA.

Mrs. Stewart attended and graduated Pollock High School. She married Hatzel Stewart on July 2, 1946 and were happily married for 62 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and above all compassionately loved her family first. Her legacy is her loving family. She worked for the Cenla Community Action Committee. She was also a member of Paradise Baptist Church, Ball, LA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hatzel Stewart; parents; Theron and Alpha Curry, son; Cliff Stewart; sister; Maxine Hoffman Baker.

She is survived by her four daughters; Janice Hughes of Ball, Linda Metesh (Michael) of Pollock, Karen Guilliams (Tim) of Lafayette, and Nancy Hall (Greg) of Shreveport; fifteen grandchildren; Connie Sullivan (James), Stacey Bordelon (Jason), Amelia Willams (Brad), Shane Metesh, Aubrey Deville (Thomas), Stuart McLaughlin (Christie), Mary Davis, Krystal Scott, Jessica Divine, Lindsey Hall, Bryan Hall, Jason Guilliams, Dylan Guilliams (Amanda), Derek Guilliams, and Lance Guilliams; twenty-three great grandchildren; Brittney, Kelsea and Gavin Fallon, Shawn Driggers, Shelie and Rayne Canoe, Austin Huffman, Gavin, Michaela, Shelby and Kainan Metesh, Dayton Clark, Jonas, Asher and Baby McLaughlin, James and Penny Davis, Michael, Matthew and Markus Scott, Alyssa and Cassidy Divine and Noah Guilliams.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
