Funeral services for Mrs. Anita Elizabeth Dahlhauser Hall will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Pentecostals of Alexandria Church, Alexandria, LA under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA.

Mrs. Hall, also known by many as Maw Maw Hall, age 84, of Cotile Lake, Boyce, LA, entered eternal rest on March 22, 2015 at her daughter’s home on the beautiful Cane River!

Anita Elizabeth Dahlhauser Hall, born April 24, 1930, won her battle with breast cancer and found Victory with Jesus on March 22, 2015! When diagnosed in 2011, she decided to just live for The Lord and let Him have all the Glory! She enjoyed life with her family. She did it HER WAY! She had resided for many years in Alexandria, LA, with her husband of 51 years Herbert L. Hall (deceased August 25, 2001) and raised her children; Donnie Hall (Candy) of Alexandria, Charlene Hall Burns (Jerry) of Cane River, Patricia Hall Carruth (Charles) of Cane River, Vera “B.A.” Hall Stokes (Craig) of Cotile, and Lander Osteen of Shreveport. She was a wonderful full of fun Mom. She loved to garden and cook for her family and friends. There was always enough food at the table and it wasn’t unusual for people to just show up and eat! Anita loved hunting and sitting by the fire at the camp! Her favorite pastimes were FISHING, catching, cleaning, cooking, and eating the fish right there on the waters’ edge!!! Teaching her Grandchildren how to fish was a natural thing to do for Anita. Cooking lessons were always available and she always made it fun! She loved to travel and spend time with friends! She had a huge extended family and stood in as Maw Maw to many!!!

Anita was the daughter of Aloysius and Grace Dahlhauser (deceased) of Tallulah, LA. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, 6 brothers, and 6 grandchildren; JR Burns, Lisa Burns, Justin “Boogs” Burns, Jeremy “Jay” Carruth, Rocky Stokes, and Elvis Vaughn.

She is survived by her sister; Gertrude Dahlhauser Paulette of Mounds, LA, her 5 children listed above, 10 grandchildren; Allison Hall, Lindsey Hall Hickman (Ben), April Burns Creech (Lane), Jeff Burns (Julie), Joe Burns (Angela), Amy Carruth Drum (Brian), Carey Carruth Hamblin (Jared), Stacie Carruth Tankersley (Mickey), Crystal Vaughn Vidrine (Darrel), and Courtney Stokes; 41 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren (with 3 more on the way this year).

She had many close friends that she would consider family, but one special couple being her long time best friends, Ed and Midge Thompson of Deville, LA, whom she loved dearly.

Pall bearers will be her grandsons; Jeff Burns, Joe Burns, Jared Hamblin, and Brian Drum. Great grandsons; Alex Robinson, Zach Burns, Jacob Burns, Dillon Stokes, Justin Vidrine, and Lane Barrett.

Visitation will be held at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, LA on Thursday, March 26, 2015 to the family at 4pm and to the public from 5pm-9pm. Funeral services will be held at The Pentecostals of Alexandria Church, on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 10am, with burial services following immediately at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, LA.
