Funeral services for Mr. Johnny R. Stroud, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Rev. Sherman Delrie officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Stroud, age 65, of Colfax, entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Stroud was a self-employed mechanic for many years. He was a volunteer with the Hudson Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He was loving father, brother, grandfather and friend who “loved Wal-Mart”.

He is preceded in death by his parents Willie Rachal and Bessie Mobley.

He is survived by two sons, Johnny Ray Stroud, Jr. (Stephanie) of Pineville, Michael Wayne Stroud (Jennifer) of Pineville; one niece, Melissa Lynn Stroud of Colfax; four brothers, Robert Stroud of Arkansas, David Stroud (Pat) of Colfax, Gilbert Stroud of Colfax and Frank Rachal (Connie) of Alexandria; two sisters, Willie Clark (Randy) of Colfax and Rose Guffey (Milton) of Colfax; grandchildren, Heather Stroud, Jessica Stroud, Tiffany Stroud, Zachary Stroud, Leighton Stroud and Bryleigh Stroud; great grandchildren, David Herrington, Maria Stroud, Cohen Stroud and Noah Sandifer.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
