Funeral services for Mr. John Henry Coolman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Dartigo Church of God in Colfax, Louisiana with Rev. Steve Coolman and Brother Boney officiating. Interment will be in Summerfield Cemetery, Colfax, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Coolman, age 83, of Montgomery, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Colfax Reunion Nursing Home, Colfax, Louisiana. He was a loving husband, father and Papaw. Mr. Coolman was a member of Dartigo Church of God, a very hard worker, a farmer and loved his animals.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Nettles Coolman; his parents, John and Isa Coolman and three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Coolman is survived by two sons, Ron Coolman of Biloxi, MS and Tim Coolman and wife Karen of Montgomery, LA. One daughter, Wanda Guynes of Montana, one brother Burnell Coolman and wife Sandra of Pearl, MS; two sisters, Geneva May and husband Jim of Medford, Oregon and Janie Ballard and husband Cecil of Montgomery, LA. Eight Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Dartigo Church of God, 464 Dartigo Road, Colfax 71417 on Sunday, March 15, 2015 beginning at 5:00 pm. until time of services on Monday.
