Funeral services for Mr. Dalvin C. Willis will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with the Reverends David Kimsey & Ted Spence officiating. Interment will be in Campbell Cemetery, Kolin, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Willis, age 84, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 15, 2014 at Hilltop Nursing Home, Pineville, Louisiana.

Mr. Willis was a loving husband and father. He served 3 years in the Korean Conflict; four tours in the Vietnam War and was awarded combat medals including, The Bronze Star Medal, (2) Purple Hearts, (2) Air Awards (3) Army Commendation Medals. He loved to play the guitar and loved country music. He will be missed by many family and friends.

He is preceded in death by one son, Don Willis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Poston Willis of Pineville; sons, Gene Willis (Angie) of Tioga, Bobby Willis (Charlotte) of Pineville and Leonard Helcl (Patty) of Pineville; daughters, Sherry Tacker of Pineville, Marlin Spence (Ted) of Pineville, Penny Rutherford (David) of Pineville and Milly Workman (Chris) of Pineville; one brother, Earl Willis of Pollock (Linda); twenty six grandchildren; thirty two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

Friends may call at Sanctuary of Praise, Pineville, Louisiana on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana at 2:00 p.m.
