Obituary for Iris Jane DeSoto (McCann)
Funeral services for Mrs. Iris Jane McCann DeSoto will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Rev. Kevin Paul officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Pineville, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. DeSoto, age 63, of Ball, entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Grace Home in Alexandria, Louisiana.
She was member of Alpine Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana. She worked as a hairdresser and Bookkeeper for several years. She loved her family and their special times while attending LSU football games.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis George DeSoto.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Douglas DeSoto and wife, Heather DeSoto of Ft. Worth, TX.; daughter, Jessica J. DeSoto of Ball; brother, Doug McCann (Sharon) of Houston, TX.; sister, Letty McCann of Tioga,; granddaughter, Ashley Lowery of Ft. Worth, TX; also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Friends may visit at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
