Obituary for Alfred Shelby Bordelon
Funeral services for Mr. Alfred S. Bordelon, Sr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Father Craig Scott officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Bordelon, age 84, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Hilltop Nursing Home.
He was U.S. Navy Veteran; having served in the Korean War. He retired as the Meat Market Manager from A & P Grocery, Alexandria, after 32 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Shelby and Eldy Dupuy Bordelon; one daughter, Rhonda Bordelon; two sisters, Grace Bladel and Marie Normand.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Joyce Carter Bordelon; one son, Alfred Shelby Bordelon, Jr. and wife, Patti Tassin Bordelon; one daughter Kathleen Bordelon Marien and husband, Jack; grandchildren; Kyla Marien Vaughn (Robert), Jaclyn Marien Clinton (Brandon), Jared Wilson (Marie), Tracy Bordelon & finance`, Dave, Kristen Bordelon, Jill Marien Vidrine (Mason), Jessa Andries Reynolds (Matt) and Jake Andries (Marti); great grandchildren, Chase Lemoine, Colton Elliott, Hunter Vaughn, Aspen Vaughn, Bradley Wilson, Benjamin Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Sawyer Clinton, Maya Reynolds, Halle Reynolds, Olivia Andries, Seth Andries and Nathan Andries.
Pallbearers will be Jared Wilson, Chase Lemoine, Brandon Clinton, Mason Vidrine, Kevin Brough, Michael Carvan and Justin Marien.
Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m.
A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
