Yvonne was a graduate of Cloutierville High School in 1951. She wore many hats throughout her 88 years, but was most known as the “most amazing cook” for JW Gaines Junior High in Montgomery and later retired from Rapides Regional Medical Center as the Food and Nutrition Manager. She continued to care for others, devoting her time to private sitting for the elderly. Yvonne was a devout Catholic and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pineville.

There is no long list of accolades, and her humble spirit would not want us to boast of her. What she leaves behind is an enormous legacy of children, grandchildren, family and friends,...her pride and joy...her world.
She had the most unique way of making each of us feel as though we were her favorite, sharing herself with us tirelessly, each having our own perfect bond. Loving us all, inspiring and always encouraging. A life beautifully lived filled with the most precious moments, more pots of gumbo, bowls of banana pudding, and more dances than we can count. Enough laughs to last a lifetime and loving us all to the fullest.

She was beauty, grace, class, and strength with a twist of sass. A daughter, big sister, wife, mother and father, grandmother, aunt, friend, helping hand provider, caregiver, and the backbone of the family that she created, and loved so dearly.

Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Thank you Jesus for this beautiful light that you blessed us with. A light that has illuminated our lives. May her light live on through her legacy.

May the Divine Assistance remain always with us. And may the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
