Obituary for Willie Mae Tate

Mrs. Willie Mae Morace Tate, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her residence in Alexandria.

Services for Mrs. Tate will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, with Pastor Mangun officiating. The visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service, with interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clarence Tate; parents, Willie E. Morace and Ruby Bryant Morace; and siblings, Helen Myers and Fulton Morace.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jeremy Tate, David Tate (Sherry), and Ray Tate (Barbara); siblings, Sherman Morace, Audrey Bryant, Joann Holden, and Margaret Walton; grandchildren, Jeremy Tate, Chase Tate, Heather Tate, Cassidy Tate, Jimmy Tate, Joel Tate, and Jabin Belgard; great grands, Nicholas, Mason, Alexis, Kai, Kristen, Jayden, Natalie, Garrett, and Tatum; great great grandchild, Iviee; and a host of extended family and friends.

Mrs. Tate was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a faithful member of the POA and made all the costumes for Messiah. Mrs. Tate had a servant's heart and would volunteer her time and talents to the Dorcas House and also to the Tupelo Children's Mansion. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
