Obituary for William Paul Polk, II

Mr. William Paul Polk, II, age 53 of Lecompte, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 6, 2024.

Will is preceded in death by his father, Honorable William Paul Polk; his mother, Barbara Reaves Polk; a niece, Amie Cataldie; and a nephew, Austin Daniel.

Will leaves behind four beautiful daughters, Avery Reaves Polk, Anna Claire Polk, Ella Camille Polk, and Evan Cecile Polk; nine sisters, Alice Daniel (James), Jane Guinn (Joe), Lorilee Andries (Terry), Susan O’Keefe (Scott), Kristie Kaspar (Rod), Liz Fox (Murray), Libby Cartwright (Mark), Ashley Hart (Justin), and Kelly Battaglia (Philip); and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Will graduated from Menard High School in 1988. He then graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in 1992 and Mississippi College of Law in 1995. While at Centenary, Will was an active member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity creating numerous lifelong friends and serving as president of the fraternity from 1991-1992. Upon graduation, Will spent several years practicing law with his father, Honorable William Paul Polk, and continued his career as a landman. Will was known to be a great bass fisherman and duck hunter. Will loved the game of golf and could cook a mean steak. He had a love of music which also provided him with comfort on late evenings. He is also known for his witty conversation and a kind heart. Will enjoyed his last years living back home in Lecompte, exploring Chickamaw Road and Bayou Bouef.

Funeral services for Will will be January 27, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Lecompte, Louisiana with a reception following in the church hall.
