Wilda R. Gandy White, age 75, of Elmer, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home in Elmer, surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Murel White, Sr.; her parents, Oscar “O.W” and Ruth Gandy; and her brothers, O.W. “Buster” Gandy, Jr. and Randall Gandy.

She is survived by her loving children, Murel “Woody” White, Jr. (Cassie), Robert White (Denise), and Deanna “Dena” White; her grandchildren, Garett White, Victoria Coleman, Austin Clark, Waylon Coleman, Landon Coleman, and Baylie White; her great grandson, Carter Seiley; her sister, Donna Turnage (James); and her numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A nurse by trade, she enjoyed painting, sewing, and puzzles; but most of all spending quality time with her family and friends that she loved so much. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A special thank you to the staff of All Saints Hospice for their compassionate care.

Adhering to Wilda’s request, the family is planning a private graveside service at a later date. Services entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
