Obituary for Vurene Elizabeth Garsee (Tyndall)

Funeral services for Vurene Elizabeth Garsee will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Open Door Community Church, 12960 Highway 28 East, Deville, Louisiana with Reverend Mike Luty officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. Visitation for Mrs. Garsee will be at Open Door Community Church on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Garsee entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Hill Top Nursing and Rehab facility in Pineville, Louisiana.

Mrs. Garsee was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She retired from Accuratt Industries as a bookkeeper after working several years. Mrs. Garsee enjoyed yardwork, traveling, fishing, dancing and was known in her town of Alliance, Nebraska as the first woman to join the Military.

Mrs. Garsee was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Dorothy Tyndall and a sister, Vera Carter.

She is survived by her three daughters, Roxie Ann Jewell, Billie Jewell Burlew (Thomas) and Jeani Gaspers; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Tracy Gaspers; a brother, Harlan Tyndall (Betty) and "Her Best Friend", Delores "Momma D" Griffin.
