Obituary for Vernon "Mitch" Carter Jr.
Mr. Vernon "Mitch" Carter, Jr., age 42 of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Arrangements are entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.
Memorial Services for Mitch will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Bentley Church of Christ.
Mitch was a loving father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a jack of all trades, working many different jobs in construction. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maybell Nelson; uncle, Greg Linn; and great grandparents, Charlie and Mela Mae McLain.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Destiny Freeman (Justin), Kinsley Carter, Charlie Carter, Keegan Carter, and Logan Earnest; grandchildren, Waylon and Noah Freeman; parents, Vernon Carter, Sr. (Kathy) and Cheryl Upshaw (Douglas); siblings, Cynthia Carter (Zach) and son Mason, Eric Carter, Brandon Carter and children, Jessalyn, Payton, and Kymzie; step siblings, Tracy Upshaw, Maegan Baum, Vanessa Perry, Chase Baum (Emily), and Doug Upshaw, Jr.; grandparents, William Carter (Helen); special aunt, Janet Nugent; and a host of extended family and friends.
