Mr. Travis Len Gypin, age 81, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 28, 2022, in Alexandria at the Summit Retirement Center.

The Visitation for Mr. Gypin will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Gallagher Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Reverends Jim Winegeart and Roger George officiating. Interment will follow the services in Flatwoods Cemetery.

Mr. Travis Gypin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He was a welder by trade, a part of the Union, for most of his life. After he retired he focused all attention on his yardwork. He enjoyed all sports, especially football, and even coached softball in his early years. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Gypin and Juanita George Gypin; and brother, Randy Jolly.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 26 years, Yvonne Leger Gypin; daughter, Tracey Nugent (CJ); step-children, Monica Beaubouef and Sharon Hockett; sisters, Linda Williamson and Sharon Caruthers; grandchildren, Gracie Nugent, Riley Nugent, Matthew Beaubouef, Megan Young, Jonah and Joshua Hockett; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers honored to serve are CJ Nugent, Preston Mire, Zachary Young, and John Gypin.

The family would like to extend thanks to Guardian Hospice and Summit Retirement Center for their care and compassion during this time.
