Obituary for Thomas R. "Tom" Tompkins
Mr. Thomas R. “Tom” Tompkins, age 83, of Ball, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his home in Ball. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home.
Graveside Services for Mr. Tomkins will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Ball, LA with Reverend Bruce Maxwell officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
Mr. Tompkins was a loving, father, grandfather, and brother. A retired US Air Force Veteran, Tom was also retired from Pinecrest Developmental Center in Pineville. He was a member of Bentley UPC. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Claude and Vivian Tompkins from Michigan.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 23 years, Shirley; his sons, Eugene T. Tompkins of Michigan and Thomas R. Tompkins, Jr. of Arkansas; his daughter, Sherri Ann Bowen of Arkansas; his step- daughter, Rhonda Briggs (Dewayne); and his step- son, Lynn Plunkett; his 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; his brother, Conrad Tompkins (Bonnie) of Michigan; and his “brother from another mother”, Wilmer “Nash” Nash; and a host of extended family and friends.
