Funeral services for Thellos Delois Sandifer Maxwell will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Lyndon Marcotte officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Maxwell will be on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Bentley, Louisiana and on Wednes
day until service time. Mrs. Thellos Maxwell, age 90, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at her residence in Bentley, Louisiana surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Maxwell was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Maxwell loved her family and loved playing and teaching piano to many children and adults over several years. Mrs. Maxwell was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and played piano and organ at the church for 75 years. When she wasn't teaching piano, Mrs. Maxwell loved to cook and quilt. She was a member of Colfax and Pollock Eastern Star and Louisiana Volunteer for Family and Community. Mrs. Maxwell will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Mrs. Maxwell was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Maxwell; her parents, Lonnie and Hattie Sandifer; a sister, Gertrude Sandifer and a great-grandson, Devin Alexander Burks.
Mrs. Maxwell is survived by two daughters, Linda Maxwell and Gloria Bengtson (Kevin); four grandchildren, Marty Burks (Jessica), Heather Maxwell, Ashley Maxwell and Erika Hearn (Matthew); eight great-grandchildren, Alexis Cash (William), Eric "Bubba" Maxwell, Stephanie Burks, Heaven Wesley, Jordan Guy Maxwell, Zane Maltie, Cole Burks and Seaborn Hearn and one great-great grandson Dalton Burks; two brothers, Earl Sandifer and Larry Sandifer.
