Obituary for Tena Louise Thompson
Mrs. Tena Louise Bowden Thompson, age 65, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in Alexandria at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Thompson will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis and Anne Catholic Church in Kolin. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball. Burial will follow the service in Sugartown Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowell Bowden and Bonnie Parker Bowden; and brother, Jack Bowden.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 42 years, Darrell Keith Thompson; daughters, Laura Hope Ward (Ivory) and Holly Michelle Warren; brother, Lowell Harold Bowden, Jr. (Regina); grandchildren, Bonnie Rose Thompson, Gavin Scott Ward, Isaac Warren, and Olivia Warren; dear friends, Vivian Hallsworth and Donna Gentry.
Mrs Tena Thompson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devote Catholic and faithfully attended St. Francis and Anne Catholic Church for many years. Mrs. Thompson was passionate about her profession as a RN and worked in six states as she travelled the country with her Navy husband. She loved her grandchildren and puppies dearly and will forever be missed.
