Mrs. Stephanie Ann McBride, age 60 of Deville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Visitation for Stephanie will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00 P.M.. Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Gallagher Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at St. Winifred Catholic Church Cemetery in Effie, Louisiana.

Stephanie was born on June 9, 1961 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Gerard ad Maxine McNeal. She married John McBride on June 14, 1997. Stephanie was the proud mother of 4 beautifully adopted children, Nicholas (24), Samantha (17), Bradley (16), and Mackenzie (15).

Stephanie was a speech therapist for the Rapides Parish School Board and later became an autistic special education teacher. Stephanie had a special love for her school children as if they were her own. Due to medical complications, she was forced to retire early just one semester shy of her 30 years in the educational system. Her medical complications did not stop her from the love of her life, working with children, of which three they adopted. Their oldest son, Nicholas, was adopted from Ukraine.

Stephanie dedicated her life to her children, family and friends. Her children were her life and the only person more important to her was God himself. She worked to ensure her children were Christians and strong believers in God. Stephanie was extremely close to Fred and Tammy Guillory, often thinking of them and their children as family.

Stephanie was the fourth of five daughters born to her parents: Judy Naslund, Karen Levinstone (Michael), Donna Walker (Billy), and Stacey Hayes (Shane).

Preceding her in death include her mother, father, and sister, Judy Naslund.

Those left to cherish her memories include her loving, devoted husband and best friend, John McBride; four amazing and devoted children, Nicholas, Samantha, Bradley, and Mackenzie. Other dear and close friends include Steve and Becky Cook and their precious children. Other dear friends include Faye Williams, who was her second mother and friend; Gary White and Angie Jenkins.

Special thanks go out to Dr. Robert Smith and his staff at Home Town Doctors office, Riverside Hospital and the staff of Covid and MICU units of Rapides General Hospital.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Chris Sanders, John Erik Guillory, Brad Looney, Carl Willis, Steve Cook, and Jathan McKay.
