Silas J. Whaley, 75, passed away September 24,2021, at Rapides Regional Hospital, Alexandria, LA , after battling Parkinson's Disease for many years.
He loved life, he loved people and he loved trucks. All his life he dreamed of some day owning his own trucking business. His dream was fulfilled when he
established his business, Specialized Heavy Hauling. He was blessed with the best drivers in the world. He loved and appreciated every one of them.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Vicki Taylor Whaley and his sister Dianne Whaley Mecalis (Joey) along with numerous family members that includes sisters in law, brother in law, nephews, nieces and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Burl Parker Whaley and Era Mae Williams Whaley and his sister, Virginia Whaley Domico (Jimmy).
Silas was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pineville, LA.
His message to all of his family and friends is that he is asleep in Jesus and that he will meet all of you again at Jesus' second coming.
