Memorial Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the funeral home.
Shirley Spann Waggener, age 86, of Ball, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family in Ball, Louisiana.
Shirley is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gayle; her parents, Ora and Ernest Spann; her brothers, James Coleman, and Dwayne Spann; her sister, Dolores Whatley; her nephew, Cody, and her sister-in-law, Rosemary.
She is survived by her loving children, Darrell Waggener (Angie), Marlon Waggener, and Faith Waggener Vernon (Chuck); her grandchildren, Zachary Waggener, Nathan Vernon, Parker Vernon, Devin Hinton (Chad),Tiffani Waggener, Adrienne Waggener, and Andreanna Waggener; his great grandchildren, Drake Vernon, Millie Vernon, Tinsley Todd, Colton Whitman; her brothers, Bobby Spann (Janie), Harry Spann (Flora), Billy Spann (Joyce), David Spann (Rhonda), and Larry Spann (Cindy); other family, and numerous friends.
Shirley was a faithful member of Jackson Street Church of Christ in Alexandria, Louisiana. She loved working in her yard and was very hospitable, enjoying having friends and family in her home.
A kind and gentle lady, Shirley was known to always say, “This too shall pass”, and as of now, so have I. I love you all. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
