Obituary for Shenan Gayle Smith Purvis
Ms. Shenan Smith Purvis, age 58, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Alexandria, Louisiana at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Visitation for Ms. Shenan will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church. The service will begin at noon with Brother Givens officiating. Interment will follow, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, in Mars Hill Cemetery.
Shenan Gayle Smith Purvis was born on January 11, 1964 in Montgomery, Louisiana to parents, Walter Eugene and Raven Ann Chelette Smith. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
Ms. Shenan is survived by her children, Jessica O'Banion and husband Brandon of Starks, Jacob Purvis of Homer, and Laicon Purvis and Charles Mundy of Dry Prong; grandchildren, Raven O'Banion, Brandon O'Banion Jr., Ethan O'Banion, Delayna O'Banion, Paylin O'Banion, Kira Antee, Samuel O'Banion, Kaylee Purvis, Kaitlyn Taylor, and Karma Stroud; siblings, Gregory Smith, Darrell Smith and Farrell Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Eugene and Raven Ann Chelette Smith; brother, Walker Smith, Jr., and sister, Lynette Smith Mott.
