Obituary for Scarlett Melissa Whitehead Wise
Mrs. Scarlett Whitehead Wise, age 57, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at her residence in Alexandria. Arrangements are entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Journey Church at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Richie Thornton officiating
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Jack Whitehead; step-father, Don Smith; in-laws, Edgar and Ellen Wise.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Raylen Edgar Wise; sons, Dustin Etheridge (Abigail) and Ryan Casey Etheridge (Catherine Walker); mother, Martha Smith; brothers, Chris Whitehead (Missy) and Waylon Whitehead (Sharon); sister, Jackie Kerben (Bubba); grandchildren, Collin Etheridge, Clair Hebert, and Monroe Etheridge; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mrs. Scarlett was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a Registered Nurse for 30 years working in Labor and Delivery at Rapides Regional and then as a Hospice Nurse. Mrs. Scarlett was a caring person who had a heart for people, as shown by her career choice. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, her rescue dogs, and was a member of Journey Church. She deeply loved her grandchildren and being their grandmother was her greatest joy.
