Obituary for Sam Winston Wooley
Mr. Samuel Winston Wooley, age 81, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 18, 2022 at his home in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Memorial Services for Mr. Wooley will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Homewood Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garvis and Billie Rae Wooley; brother, Garvis Wooley, Jr. "Sonny"; and daughter, Angela Lynn Wooley.
Those left to remember him are his wife of 37 years, Linda Wooley; sons, Chad Wooley, Brad Wooley (Carol), Tony Wooley (Nikki); six grandchildren, Brianna Wooley, Elizabeth Wooley, Logan Wooley, Samantha Wooley, Ethan Wooley, and Emma Wooley.
Close family and friends left to cherish his memory are Leann Wooley, Janette Wooley, his church and especially his beloved pets, Ginger, Chelsea, and Susie.
Sam was a 14 year veteran in the US Navy and Army Special Forces. He then went to work for the Dallas Police Department, where he retired as Corporal Patrolman in 1990 after 20 years of service. He and Linda started a crafted business because woodworking, especially scroll cut clocks, was his pride and joy.
